Kees Ge is a plywood mill in Rustavi, Georgia. For the Georgian market and for export we make several kinds of plywood: FSF plywood, film-faced plywood (F/F and W/F), coated plywood, parquet plywood and calibrated plywood made from 0.6 mm veneer. Production runs on an ERP system with built-in quality control: every stage is checked against the standard, and the history of every bundle is known.
ERP system and quality control
The mill runs an ERP system with built-in quality control and reminders. At every stage it requires staff to check the plywood quality and the process against the standard, so no quality check is missed.
- Reminders prompt staff for every check, so none is forgotten.
- Every sheet is graded against the GOST 3916.1 defect table.
- Our own lab tests bond quality (EN 314), bending strength (EN 310), moisture content and density.
- For every batch we record the glue recipe, the lay-up crew, the date and the shift.
- Every bundle carries a QR label, and every bundle is scanned at loading, so we know exactly what went into each truck.
